Are the Red Sox who just handed Manny Ramirez $160 million the same Red Sox who recently pleaded with the taxpayers for a handout to help them build a new place of business? I guess the Red Sox must have given up on corporate welfare, because after this deal I can't imagine them begging with a straight face!
