Dear Editor,
Having Congress attack the IRS is like having Dr. Frankenstein complain that his monster is one mean, ugly dude.
We have all somehow learned to hate the IRS, and Congress is making a lot of political hay with that hatred, but that hatred is misplaced. The blame lies with Congress, which created the real monster, the byzantine tax code which the IRS has the misfortune to have to enforce. If you had to enforce that tax code, you'd be mean and ugly too.
